Is Microsoft Fabric the right choice for us?
Fabric puts pipelines, lakehouse, warehouse and Power BI under one capacity license, so it works well for organizations that already live in Power BI. For heavy engineering or machine learning, Azure Databricks may fit better, and some clients use both.
Can you move our SQL Server data warehouse to Azure?
Yes. We plan the move table by table, copy the full history and rebuild the reports that depend on it. Before cutover we reconcile totals with the old server so finance and operations see the same numbers.
